The SGA is at its heart a service organization. Primarily it serves the student body in its main role as interface between the students of ERAU and the faculty. There are several specific ongoing projects the SGA has set up to tend to the needs of both the students and the faculty of Embry-Riddle's Prescott campus.
This no-questions-asked service is a SGA provision that every student is entitled to. Anybody who carries the Safe Ride card has the right to a duty-free taxi service from anywhere in Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley to the single address on the card. Safe Ride is provided to all ERAU students in order for them to have a safe and free option out of any undesirable situation. One card per person. In cooperation with Prescott's finest businesses, the SGA compiles a list of discounts students can find around the city. At the beginning of each year, each student receives a card specifying which company discounts are available. SGA is creating the best deal for a college student's empty pockets!
Assisting students in enjoying all on-campus clubs have to offer, SGA will reimburse up to $100 in receipts. In order to receive a subsidy, a club must be registered with the OSA (Office of Student Activities).
Free beverages and snacks to all who visit the SGA Office in the Student Union! Students who come during office hours have the abundant selection of tea, hot chocolate, Tang, lemonade, water, and much more! Coffee is freshly brewed bright and early to spur the day for those 8:00AM classes.
Stuck on campus without a set of wheels? SGA provides a shuttle once a week for students with the same problem. On Wednesdays, the Shuttle makes four rounds to Fry's and Wal-Mart for students to grab their weekly groceries. It departs from Haas Commons at 6:00PM, 6:30PM, 7:00PM and 7:30PM. The last trip leaves Haas at 8:00PM with no passengers to pick up the stragglers still shopping. Be sure to check with the SGA for the most up to date shuttle schedule (shuttle does not run during summer).
Centralized on campus for practical accessibility, lockers are available to any student in need. The student lockers are located next to Altitudes Hair Salon. SGA overlooks the security and condition of these lockers to insure safekeeping but Students are responsible their own personal lock. Students are permitted one locker for once academic year and can register by filling out forms located within the SGA Office.We hope you stop by.
